Jafeth es un artista caucano que registra en su obra la identidad cultural de su pueblo expresada en simbologías, formas y cromatismos en un estilo muy particular matizado por la presencia de aspectos étnicos, sociales, religiosos y culturales propios del contexto regional del sur occidente colombiano lo que ha permitido la aceptación y reconocimiento nacional e internacional, posibilitando múltiples giras por diversos países de Europa y Estados Unidos donde se han realizado exposiciones, talleres y otras actividades relacionadas con el intercambio cultural.
Vive en el Sendero Mágico en las afueras de Popayán donde desarrolla su actividad creadora y promueve la educación ambiental a través del arte. Desde hace 3 años fundo el Colectivo Cultural Wipala como espacio de encuentro, intercambio y acompañamiento a procesos artísticos comunitarios.
