Full-time web developer/part-time artist.
The art is a work in progress. I draw and paint what excites me, what annoys me, and I attempt to present the absurdity of the reality. Representational art should assault the senses,should prompt questions, should make the viewer think, and sometimes cause dumbfounded stares.
Anyone with talent and acquired skill can spend six months on a drawing until it looks like a photograph. Also, anyone(absolutely anyone) can sling paint on canvas, or stuff a dead dog and call it art.
Since the definition of art in modern terms is defined so broadly I seek to find ways to present the figure differently. Doing things differently is easy. Doing things differently and well is very difficult.
The journey continues and so does the learning process. If my work is rendered well and it makes you say wow, say wtf, or ask why, what and how, then I have gotten closer to my goal. I have no desire to create another Dora Marr
