I do art as a cathartic act to get by in life. Though I haven't always held a brush for the most part of my early adult life, the impulse to create had always been a constant, albeit annoying companion.
I always aim for realism when I start artworks, but always regress (or progress – depends on who you talk to) towards an impression. To me, concept is more important than the style I will eventually regress using. My clarity in intention may waver at times, but my need to manifest is constant.
