ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I am deeply inspired by how much Good there is in the Universe. Despite the hostility and fears of the times, it is fascinating to me how all that is Good so effortlessly manages to translate and manifest itself in the day-to-day encounters between mankind, nature, and the cosmos. As an artist, I have made it my prime motive to capture and represent as much of this Goodness as I possibly can.
”I paint darkness so I can paint the Light,” this is what I always say.
My paintings, which are mostly executed in oil on canvas with recycled wooden frames, seek to portray the positive side of every phenomenon. Themes I commonly uphold in my art include: life after death, forgiveness and redemption after having gone awry, awakening to one’s purpose in life, light amid darkness, spirituality over materialism, peace amidst chaos, enlightenment, hope, and love.
For the succeeding years of my life, I intend to further develop my creative practice--- to stretch and continue to expand it with the hope of sharing my artworks with a wider audience.
