Hello goldylonglocks. To answer you question if I do my own photography: I use professional digital equipment with long zoom lenses to get my shots and travel whenever possible. I used to be a pro commercial photographer and have come to believe that photography is great in and of itself when all the proper principles of art and photography are brought together. The artist often is not a pro photographer and lacks the initial "image" to work from. A painting is only going to be as good as the idea and image representation one can come up with to work through...then there must be the talent to make it happen. I may paint this someday, but if I do, it will look more real than the photograph. The reason is to get a "real" sense of being in the presence of the tiger as I saw and felt it at the time I shot this. Bill

Every single one of your paintings are a masterpiece, you have the ability to really capture the essence of people and of moments. many of your works are of moments that most people would pass by, just passing moments- but those "little" moments are really what life is all about isn't it- not necessarily the "big" moments. I love them.
