Ha! Thank you. I'm fine. It's summer so I have a lot of time, no college until Aug 17. Man, I think I've been to 4 different colleges - yep. This is the fourth one. I'm trying to get a business degree (or an equivalent), or just learn enough until I know how to sell my art. But since I have time off for a few weeks, I'm painting, reading, and taking photos of myself with as many strange make-up jobs as I can create. :)

Hey! Well, as to my lip, that was in 2005 and it's healed now. I fell while going upstairs and hit my jaw on the edge of the top step and broke my teeth, and bit my lip. It was awful. I have finals right now for college, it's terrible!!!! Other than that, I'm just waiting for summer to come :)

About "Damn it all to hell" (the pic of my notebook page) No, it's not really a significant date, as if it were the anniversary of a death or something of that nature, but I think it's significant in the sense that I'd really had enough of the depression (it was just 2 weeks old at that point, it went on for a while) and I was SO SICK of it that I just got really mad, I don't know whether at me or God or what (probably all of the above), but I just felt, "well, damn it all to hell, I've had enough!" But it just didn't end that day. It's over now, thank God.

Hi. Yeah, I'm okay, just a little sore about someone infringing on my copyright to one of my paintings. His name here on Artbreak is odw211. He took my painting "Grit Down And Bite The Bullet" and digitally altered it then passed it off as HIS work. So I'm angry. But other than that, I think I'm just stressed out over an exam I have on Monday Mar 16. I'm scared. I guess my art posts lately kind of show the antipathy, don't they? It wasn't completely unintentional, but for the most part it was. I'll be fine. Thanks for asking. - Jeni

Hello goldylonglocks. To answer you question if I do my own photography: I use professional digital equipment with long zoom lenses to get my shots and travel whenever possible. I used to be a pro commercial photographer and have come to believe that photography is great in and of itself when all the proper principles of art and photography are brought together. The artist often is not a pro photographer and lacks the initial "image" to work from. A painting is only going to be as good as the idea and image representation one can come up with to work through...then there must be the talent to make it happen. I may paint this someday, but if I do, it will look more real than the photograph. The reason is to get a "real" sense of being in the presence of the tiger as I saw and felt it at the time I shot this. Bill
