Hey~ I'm new to the site and my slideshow isn't working.. not sure if it has to do with file size or what it could be. Is there anything I need to do to fix it or is it a bug on the site?

hey... slideshow STILL not working on my page... I have basically lost patience since this has gone on since I joined and still haven't had it resolved. I sent Zack an personal message in June reminding.. I get your busy Zack... I appreciate how much work running this site is, I'm just at the end of my rope. Sent a personal IM the beginning of June with no reply. Sorry to post here, but want the slide show fixed if possible.

I appreciate your frustration -- the problem is identified (the slideshow doesn't like multibyte characters in a file name, specifically the copyright character in yours), but my attempts to fix it were unsuccessful. it's likely going to require replacing the flash slideshow, which is provided by a third party, with another solution, and i just haven't found the perfect fit yet. Apologies for not keeping you updated on the status of the bug.
It pops up for a few other people as well, and I definitely am eager to get it fixed, but it turns out it's a complicated fix to a simple looking problem. I'll post here when it's sorted out. I wish I had a better way to address your frustration in the short term.
