About edhugo:

Born many years ago in Montevideo, Uruguay, I've discovered the joy of creating art through painting and photography. Self taught artist, I look for emotions to surface in my work. My discovery of ART started accidentally when I painted an old door I've found on the street. The experience was so rich that I continued to paint on pieces of wood that people discarded until a friend of mine, Pepe Criado, a true artist and painter, encouraged me to switch to canvas and take the whole thing seriously. I now create with acrylics which give me the almost instantaneous feel of a finish art piece (it dries in an hour). Another way is through photography. I look for those moments or situations of our daily life that we take for granted and don't pay much attention to them. Different angles and exposures bring them to life. Another artist and friend of mine, Eduardo Milieris, told me that through my paintings, emotions flow inside-out and through my photography, they flow outisde-in. And that's exactly how I feel. My ART shows a part of me that's been hidden for almost forever and, at this point in my life, it's ready to come out and explode. Hope you like what you see.
