About eddielim:

Art has always had an inexplicable attraction to Eddie and he was already delving earnestly into the abstract at an early age; he would call them scribblings.

When one encounters his works of art, and believe me it’s an encounter, one is reminded of a twilight zone quotation; one in particular among many, so when you treat your senses with his works, “You unlock a door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension – a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You’re moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas.”

Eddie has always espoused to the idea that art is an individual interpretation and allows others to deduce the meaning of his paintings whenever possible, as he feels different minds perceive things differently. He believes that painting is a truly free form of expression without any borders and perceptions.

As a painter Eddie’s style is still evolving as he experiments with various forms and techniques. To him it is a journey of endless learning. As of now his works are very much infused with his passion for music and art as evidenced by his works; they are already being collected by friends and art enthusiast in Malaysia as well as in the U.S., Germany, Korea, Singapore and Australia.

Professionally, Eddie has been a designer, an art director and a freelance illustrator for both local and international book publishers. He only started painting seriously a few years ago because of his professional constraints.

For now, he prefers to exhibit his works online to reach a wider audience globally and you can see his paintings at the following websites:

Eddie is represented by Art Galleries in Malaysia and has also participated in local exhibitions. Born in 1958, he studied Advanced Counselling and Child Psychology.
