About devinlynn:

I'm a 20 year old student at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. I'm in my third year as a sculpture major, but have come to love all mediums of expression since being in college.

I often find my thoughts ascending into outer space. The ubiquitous universe, devoid of time, laden with light and energy ignites my imagination like nothing on this planet. The struggle of finding your place between the farthest away bodies and the mind which resides in your own is what I try to convey through my paintings.

My cosmic views are merely small fractions of sprawling nebular appendages. As I paint I allow each color its own action; red tugging, blue swallowing, orange escaping, all battling for existence. I use bright colors along with contrast and motion to reveal omnipresent beauty despite all conflict. I swirl, dab and splash flecks of color and light onto my canvas with my hands alone. I feel both in touch with the nonpareil connection between the brain and the fingertips as well as the motion and energy of the untouchable entities in our universe.
