Hi Collette...thank you....that flower nasturtiums is also called tropaeolum and they originate in south america ....they have about 80 species in the family and are both annual and perennial varieties...quite beautiful....I wanted to press some for an arrangement I do mounted on a wood base and frame with twigs but the flower has a stiff stem that is not suitable for pressing...oh well...best wishes...hope all is well.....long time....

Thank you my dear sweet friend...so many compliments...it is greatly appreciated...the yellow columbine is exquisite and would make for a lovely dress as you say...I am happy to hear what the flower is called...I want to get some for my yard...Our Chives here in the east bloomed about two weeks ago...but they get all day sun...And yes that really is a hawk...when i first spotted him I didn't have my glasses on and I thought it was a huge owl...haha...As far as the lily of the valley I do not feed them but I mulch the soil and that replenishes the soil and keeps in the moisture...The squirrel you saw was taken away from my home....I didn't know him...but I do have a neighbor squirrel that gives me much trouble...he digs into my flower boxes looking for tidbits...bugs and worms I guess...I 've tried everything to keep him away from a sensor hooting owl to mothballs to having my dog bark on command at him...he keeps on coming...a resident who resided where I live prior to me use to feed him and the birds...that's why the hawk comes around and the squirrels....Best wishes to you always my friend...and happy Painting...

About clmatero:

I started art at a very young age, in grade school. One nun in grade 5 always asked me to do a whole black board of a particular scene she wanted me to do. It was a bad experience when I had to erase my work, to start another. It should of been done on big paper,or huge newsprint paper, to have been cherished for years...one day I hope to see these again in heaven...we will experience again very happy moments and past experiences, I am sure. I have enjoyed crafts and arts of all kinds, all of my life..I see art in almost everything, nature, faces, birds, clothes, wood, icebergs, oceans, farms, pets, food,life in general. I have taken a few art classes, water color class and am now involved in an open studio which is great for advice. I do volunteer work at a nature center on occasion, when available.
I like to work on homes in renovating and making them appealing to the eye, inside and out. I grew up on a farm, lived near a forest, which was a great adventure for me as a child. Wish every child in the world could experience nature daily in their lives and truly know the meaning of clean air, a clean environment, free of sin. Would like to share more. I am running out of time.
