Im a digital artist using photography and digital art to express me art
my main passion is with the postmodernists and abstract artists.
i believe in Antonin Artauds 'theatre of cruelty'. i want people to feel uncomfortable, unerved, dislike and uncertainty when they look at my work.
i want people to not know what to think about a piece, to not like looking at it.
art is there to stimulate all the emotions and senses not just the feel good ones.
Im a blind artist. my sight is at a level where my work is changing. i no longer take photographs focussing on composition and quality but i use pointblank photography now. I set up the camera focussing more on creating effects with abstract settings. Then i point the lens toward what im wanting to take and shoot. I have to wait till i get home and upload the image and magnify it before i can see what iv produced.
Im able to create photographs that resemble how i see the world now by using very low exposure with high contrast and long shuter speed for taking shots in dark envrionments.
When working with photoshop and other programs i have to magnify the image very big then guess what the large pixels represent on the main image. play with them then take off the magnification and see what iv produced. Its a very lengthy process and a 2 hour piece that i created in the past will now take me a week of solid days worht of work.
but i wont make my life easier and move to tactile art forms. i found myself in digital art and i will stay there.
Im currently working on sound photographs. Small sound recordings of the environment around me. eg my latest sound photograph was a recording of my white cane moving over a deep toned wooden floor with shoppers chattering in the background.

Its mainly full of work i produced when my sight was at a better level but you can find 2 digital peices on there iv done since my sight deteriation including inner searching and digital painting which are also on here.
I will be adding some of my blind photography and sound photographs in the near future.
