Born in Germany and raised in New England, Brenda Garacci whose pen name is B. Joyce, has resided in Lafayette, Louisiana for many years. While she holds masters degrees in English as well as secondary teaching, her greatest love is pet and wildlife photography / videography. She most enjoys filming cats, especially her 15 year old tabby Buzzy. Her first book, 'Tales in the Key of Classy,' includes 40 of her pet and wildlife pictures and her second, 'Big Easy and his Quest for the Stars,' contains several of her photos along with a few of her dog sketches. Her two latest books 'Light in the Midst of Time' and 'Plight of the Acadians: Pre-Exile Files' are beautifully illustrated by her father, New England pastellist Brian Higgins.
