My work is the fruit of who I am. Does not matter if I like it or not, I am an artist.
It comes from an intrinsic need to "create" something. I create an image and call
that the essence of my soul and allege that it is just enough to explain everything
else in my whole life. Now at this stage of my existence, I am far away from the time
when these things may caused me embarrassment.

Hi Maria! A great pleasure to look at your work. Very sensitive and beautifully rendered. Thank you very much for the favourites. You asked about the muse series. Well, for sure I loved each one as I was painting them and I still do. I created them to evoke their blessings and the tilted heads - for me - communicated that kindness or benevolence (as one might tip one's head to the side when interacting with a child) rather than a direct stare which can appear confrontational. I didn't think too much about it since a lot of my choices tend to be impulsive and I just go with it if it feels right. :-)
