Ancester, very nice work. You capture the Welsh rugby maul and scrum and the encroaching mountains of Wales as it hems in all that live there. Excellent explosion of colour and the sky just getting a peek in at the top. It is the only silence you allow to your fighting colours as they bubble out of the canvas....Bernard

About ancester:

I am originally from Yorkshire, England, but married a Welsh lady, learned the language and have lived here in Wales for many years. I graduated in Business Management and then Fine Art and had a thirty year career in design and housing development. I never stopped painting and walked away from business at the millennium and apart from running in the mountains, playing my banjo and family research, I do nothing else.
The influence of mountains on my landscape work is now combined with the family research , having discovered that my name goes back to the 9th century and a Viking ancestry. My subjects do not relate to 'recognisable' places or people but are a continuous search for essential gestures and rhythms of land and figure.

I have already seen some work on this site that relates to what I do and will soon be in touch.
