About Smorrison:
Art to me is all about expressing the un-expressible; speaking that which can not be said by words alone. It is more about the emotion of the painting than the colors and textures of it. It is about creativity, and exploring new ideas. It is about life, God, love, and everything else. It is about the complex inner world. Art is meant to be confrontational, and not just interesting. Art is meant to define culture, and I hope that in some way, mine will make some difference to this world.
When I get into an art piece, I loose myself. I get lost in any concept of reality or of time. I forget where I am, and even what I am doing. I get lost in the rhythm of it, and the beauty of it. That’s why I love art. I hope my art can have a similar effect on you too.
