Me gusto mucho lo que has escrito. estoy totalmente de acuerdo. Cuando vemos las ventas de las dos mas importantes en el mercado, siempre son las mismas firmas que son propuestas al publico. Publico que no se da cuenta (o no quiere ) ver que por menos plata podrían comprar obras estupendas, pero claro ellos prefieren comprar, firmas (apellidos) sin preocuparse de la obra. Buena noticia, en la venta de Bergé, el Picaso no se vendió! , me dirás que Matisse se fue por 35 millones, bueno, al menos servirá para la búsqueda de como curar el sida. De todas maneras sobre esto se puede discutir toda una noche o mas! Te pongo aquí una citación de Rothko, hecha en 1970 que me gusta mucho (pero me dirás que sin embargo el aprovecho mucho del sistema): Quote: "I HATE AND DISTRUST ALL ART HISTORIANS, EXPERTS AND CRITICS. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF PARASITES, FEEDING ON THE BODY OF ART. THEIR WORK IS NOT ONLY USELESS, IT IS MISLEADING… A PAINTING DOESN’T NEED ANYBODY TO EXPLAIN WHAT IT’S ABOUT. One of the big questions of this times asked : what is the relevance of avandgarde and innovation today. The requirements are really open. No one knows the direction of the moment. Maybe Charles Saatchi knows it?( it`s a joke!!) The danger of a amaemic Historismus and eclecticism is great. I belive that this is also a chance. To fish for luck in antediluvian values is depressing sometimes. Definitely it is a adventuresomly time. And take the chance to create maybe really news ( i think it is impossible) or to remember to values which are really ageless. I hope it`s not to long and passably understandable. Greetings Stacho
