About Monique Pascal:

Art has always been a part of my life. Growing up I watched my talented mother paint the most amazing still life's and I dreamt of being just like her. Pencils in hand, day after day, I tried to created my own masterpieces and through out my school life won many awards for my paintings and sculptures. Sadly though when I left school, my mother detered me from following an art career, as she felt there was no money to be made. My heart sank, but I honored her wishes and went to secreterial college. Long story short, I went from job to job feeling that something was missing. Now later in life it came to me that we should all be doing what makes our hearts sing and art is certainly does that for me, so I am now on a beautiful journey of the art world and who knows what it will bring.
My paintings consist mostly of watercolor and ink on paper. My aim is to create realistic images that are both pleasing and stimulating, to bring the outdoors inside and I strive to render accuracy in each painting. My artwork is not restricted to any category of subject matter but reflects various interests, seascapes, Australian wildlife and places that have touched me throughout life. A large photographic library collected by myself and friends over the years been invaluable for research and inspiration.
I am also an agent for a wonderful Australian wildlife artist, Steve Morvell who has inspired me greatly with not only his Australian artwork but also his beautiful African animal paintings, and my hope is that my artwork inspires you!
