My name is Lena Owens. I enjoy working in many art forms.
My desire to reproduce Greek and Italian frescos, Russian icons I was inspired by art of Steven Bogdanoff, Ilya Anisimov, Sveta McCalister. This inspiration led me to creating an antique look to my paintings: classic fresco-secco technique. I use lime and gypsum rock compound to create my canvas. For outdoor art I use dried pigments or acrylics to apply on dried or wet plaster. For indoor art I use mixed media and oil. I sand, stain and break my fresco to achieve antique look. After all steps my paintings are ready to hang and need no frame. The weighs approximately from 5 to 30 pounds.

You won't believe it, these beautiful wild cows (who live round the corner from our house) are bred specially for Milupa children's nutrition: the calves are taken away to be killed the moment the next calves are born ... so our children can get fatter and fatter...
