My freehand style of bird-and-flower painting distinguishes itself from the fine brush style by emphasizing on simplicity. To achieve the goal of simplicity I would use minimal strokes and tools to complete a piece of work.
Besides the traditional ink and water I also use a variety of colors to create different moods in my paintings. Techniques and skills of using the brush and water is always considered the paramount priorities in all my paintings.
My work had been exhibited in various occasions periodically in Hong Kong as well as in Mainland China.
In 1997, I was invited to participate in the " Shenzhen Art Museum Exhibition in Commemoration of the Return of Hong Kong to the PRC".
In 1998, some of my paintings had been collected in the directory "Calligraphy and Painting Collection Eminent Chinese of World Over".
In 2003, I was invited by the Department of Calligraphy and Painting in Jiangmen, Guangdong to participate in the "Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Paintings by Famous Artists in the Jiangmen Region".
One of my painting “Huang Shan in Mist” was collected by the Jiangmen Art Museum.
