I'm mainly a painter but I have worked in other mediums, I like the visual arts best. I had an idea that becoming an artist might make for an interesting life for myself when I read the life story of a famous artist. I decided to go to art school much to the dismay of my parents. I graduated from the Penn Academy of the Fine Arts in 1974 and won a grant to return for another year's work all expenses paid and a little bit to spend as well. After graduating the bottom fell out for me and I ended up in a mental hospital and on welfare within a couple of years out of school. I tried a geographical cure and moved to Central Virginia where I've lived for the past thirty two years. I was a dishwasher for years, once working in Miller's while Dave Matthews was making salads in a dark corner of the same restaurant. I went back to college and Dave well he kept writing songs and doing his nightime thing, I wonder what ever happened to him? Anyway, I began working in paint once again and I've been having fun with the brush ever since. I teach art to disabled students once in a while, my day job is working as a Teaching Assistant for students with disabilities which allows me to work with them in art once in a Blue Moon. We all show our work once a year in the local Very Special Arts show, the Opening is a gas, I love it, showing my own art and my students right next to mine.
Well, I hope you all have time to take a look at my site. Take Care
