About Ed Rowles:
About the Artist -
I take most of my inspiration from the things people believe, create and consume. As a Pop artist I like twisting science fiction and pop culture images into cool modern art. For over 20 years I have created digital art however, pretty much everything I do starts out as a pen & Ink sketch using the old speedball dipping pens. I scan the drawing and use it as a guide to work over on the computer using a pen and graphics tablet to color the image. I custom print and frame most of my work.
Besides creating graphic art, I designing web sites and producing multimedia presentations for special events. My creative skills are computer graphic design, 3D computer modeling, animation, drawing, painting, logo design, and web design. I produce custom media for large corporate events, new product introduction, sales meetings, and conventions. Over the years, I've created commercial art and multimedia presentations for many of America's top corporations and associations.

Who or what inspires me?
So many things inspire me, I don't know where to start, but here are a just a few that spring to mind: vintage space comic books like "Weird Science", '50s sci-fi movies, the amazing "Dan Dare Pilot of the Future" comics by the English artist Frank Hampson, all of Chesley Bonestell space art, The pop art of Frank Stella (Black Adder) James Rosenquest F-111 1965 , and Tom Wesselmann 1972, the surreal pop art of Todd Schorr.
Meet the Artist -
If it's a warm sunny day (weekends only in the winter) you can meet me in the heart of downtown Asheville at my Art Table in front of The Grove Arcade from 10:30 AM- 4:30 PM. I will be selling original paintings, prints, cards, magnets and my new pop art clocks

Thanks dear friend , You are right, the originalart works are quite different from what we see it in the books or the Internet !! I visited and I saw alot of van Gogh's original ( great works) in Museums and exhibitions in different States in the world !! I'm very impressed with this genius and unique artist as a wonderful man full of sense and feelings and in the same time full of suffering and poverty ....Etc.! I have a lot of information about him during the research to my masters, and because I'm fan of Gogh so chose him for the theoretical part of my art masters 1988 in Berlin.
