About DakotaSkye:
I am a feather painter and pyrographer specializing in the art of the north woods. As a proud Minnesota native, my subject matter generally revolves around the wildlife of northern Minnesota. I am continually striving to perfect my artistic abilities, and I believe I have found my niche among feathers and wood. I use feathers and wood as a way of enhancing, not overpowering, the natural beauty of the materials themselves.
I also gladly and readily accept commissions for personalized pieces. I have done a piece for the Northern Pennsylvania chapter of Pheasant's Forever for their banquet and auction in September of 2009, as well as the 2009 Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts competition. I have done commissions of hunting dogs and cherished family pets, and I've painted tom turkeys on hunter's tail fans. The possibilities are endless, and no request is denied.
