Kudakwashe Gavi
was born on November 4 1981.He studied art Mzilikazi art and craft centre in Bulawayo Zimbabwe from 2000-2001.His ever group exhibition he participated was the Visual Artist Association of Bulawayo[VAAB[2001 October-November. This was the beginning of his professional art career. In January 2002 the National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo sponsored him with art materials and a working studio. He was a resident at the gallery studios from 2002-2004.He has participated in a number of exhibitions.
To date his work is about people and things in the past and things that he sees happening. He draws his inspiration from people, nature and situations around him, evolving them into sometimes abstract parables. His art displays a use of rich colour and bold images created.
